Fog covers Mt Rainier and partially fills the White River valley

Rain and fog had settled into the Cascades as I walked to overlook the White River. Fresh snow had fallen at higher altitudes and the yellow maples dotted the valley. I stood for quite a while to enjoy the serene setting. Little did I know that Mt Rainier towered over this scene through the distant fog.
