  • The gull walked back and forth across the lawn almost as if it was a lawn mower although it didn't follow systemati lines.  It was clearly searching for grubs and other food items in the grass.  I never saw it catch anything in the time I watched.

  • The male bufflehead was feeding actively just off shore.  It would dive for 15 or 20 seconds before surfacing for a few seconds.  The male gradually moved along the edge of the tree reflections and the pattern was intriquing.

  • The pink wash on the white pedals draw the eye toward the pistal and stamines in the center of the cherry flower.  Water droplets from the light rain glide across each pedal.  The perfume scent of these flowers was strong in the stillness of the morning.
